Cílem mezinárodního setkání je zmapovat současnou situaci loutkářské tradice v Evropě a hledat mimo jiné odpovědi na otázky: Jak se tradiční forma přenáší z generace na generaci? Jak se stará forma loutkového divadla dokáže vypořádat s aktuálními tématy a problémy současného světa? A jak zabránit tomu, aby se z tradičního loutkářství nestala jen prázdná turistická atrakce?
Konferenci pořádá Výzkumný ústav alternativního a loutkového divadla a divadla ve speciálních skupinách Divadelní fakulty Akademie múzických umění v Praze, Spolek pro podporu loutkářských tradic, časopis Loutkář, České středisko UNIMA a Komise pro výzkum UNIMA International.
Termín konání: 3. a 4. 11. 2023, Galerie HAMU
Konference se uskuteční v anglickém jazyce. Vstup volný, kapacita omezená.

The research focus of the conference is an attempt to map the current position of the European puppetry tradition and to try to answer the following questions: Is traditional puppetry still a vibrant and regularly performed form of puppet theatre, or has it become solely a historical phenomenon? How is this traditional form transmitted between generations? How to avoid puppetry becoming an empty tourist attraction?
